Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 Tbsps butter, cold
- 3/4 cup kefir
Instructions
Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Grate or cut in the cold butter and gently mix.
Set your oven to 425 F and place bowl in the fridge or freezer while your oven is heating up!
Add the kefir to your cold bowl and mix until loosely combined.
Plop dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently work it together with your hands. Then flatten, fold, and repeat to get layers. I recommend folding about 6 times.
Then flatten again and cut biscuits out. Should make six biscuits at about 1 inch thick. Place them on a parchment-paper lined baking sheet and cook for 12 minutes. (If dough got warm while working with, throw the whole pan of biscuits in the fridge or freezer to cool back down before cooking)
