Ingredients
- 4 Tbsps butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1/2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp garlic
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- optional: fresh herbs and lemon slices
- 1-2 pounds chicken
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 F
Melt butter in cast iron skillet on stovetop. Add the chicken and brown it on each side for a few minutes.
Mix all other ingredients together in a small bowl and pour over chicken. Place cast iron in oven and bake for 20-40 minutes (depending on chicken temp). Occasionally take pan out to spoon sauce back over chicken while baking. I do this maybe 3-5 times while it cooks.
Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon slices!
